In GREAT BENTLEY, in the COUNTY of ESSEX,
WHICH
Will be Sold by Auction BY WM. LINTON,
(By Order of the Commissioners under an Act of Parliament for
inclosing Lands in the Manor of Great Bentley), On WEDNESDAY the 7th DAY of SEPTEMBER, 1814,
AT THE
PLOUGH, IN GREAT BENTLEY,
At 4 o'Clock in the Afternoon, IN THE FOLLOWING LOTS.

Lot 1.
A PIECE of LAND, lying on the south side of the Road leading from Great Bentley
Green to Saint Osyth, -containing by admeasurement 3 Roods and 19 Perches, bounded
on the north by the said Road, on the south by Lands belonging to Mr. Golding, on the
east by Land to be allotted under the said Act, and extends to a point towards the west.
Lot 2.
A PIECE of LAND, lying on Angier's Green, containing by admeasurement 2 Roods,
bounded on the north-west by Land belonging to Mr. Henry Nunn, on the south by the
aforesaid Road, on the west by Land lately belonging to Francis Blunden, deceased, and on
the east by a new Road set out on Angier's Green.
Lot 3.
A PIECE of LAND, also lying on Angier's Green, containing by admeasurement
1 Acre, 2 Roods and 32 Perches, bounded on the north-east by a new road on Angier's
Green, leading into the Saint Osyth Road, on the south by Land before sold by the
Commissioners to Mr. Robert Dawson, and on the west and east by Land to be allotted under
the said Act.
Lot 4.
A PIECE of LAND, also lying on Angier's Green, containing by admeasurement
26 Perches, bounded on the north-west and south-east by Waste Land to be allotted under
the said Act, on the south-west by the last-mentioned Road, and on the north-east by the
House and Garden of Nathaniel Blowers.
Lot 5.
A PIECE of LAND, also lying on Angier's Green, containing by admeasurement
1 Acre, 2 Roods and 12 Perches, bounded on the north-west by a new Road set out on
Angier's Green, on the north-east by the next-described lot, and on the south-west and
south-east by Lands to be allotted under the said Act.
Lot 6.
A PIECE of LAND, also lying on Angier's Green, adjoining Lot 5, containing by
admeasurement 1 Acre and 14 Perches, bounded on the north-west by the last-mentioned
Road, on the south-west by Lot 5, on the north-east by Land to be allotted under the said
Act, and on the south-east by Land of Nathaniel Blowers.
Lot 7.
A PIECE of LAND, also lying on Angier's Green, on the north-west sides of the last-
mentioned Road, opposite Lot 5, containing by admeasurement 1 Rood and 2 Perches,
bounded on the north-west by Land belonging to Mr. Thomas Clark, on the south-east by
the last-mentioned Road, on the south-west by a private Road leading to a Farm belonging
to the Rev. John Smythies, and on the north-east by the next described Lot.
Lot 8.
A PIECE of LAND, also lying on Angier's Green, adjoining Lot 7, containing by
admeasurement 19 Perches, bounded on the north-west by a House and Premises belonging
to ---- Hayward and ---- South, on the south-east by a public Road set out by the said
Commissioners, on the south-west by Lot 7, and on the north-east by Land belonging to
the Rev. John Smythies.
Lot 9.
A PIECE of LAND, lying on South Heath, containing by admeasurement 1 Rood and
16 Perches, bounded on the north, east and south by Land to be allotted under the said
Act, and on the west by the Road leading from Great Bentley Green to Saint Osyth.
The several Lots will be Freehold, subject to the payment to the Lord of the Manor of Great Bentley of the
annual sum of one shilling, where the allotment shall not be more than 1 Acre; but if exceeding 1 Acre, and
should not be 2 Acres, two shillings; and if exceeding 2 Acres, and not 3 Acres, three shillings; and so in
proportion for any greater quantity; and a relief of 21s. for every allotment over and above an Acre, on death or
alienation,-and if exceeding 2 Roods, and not exceeding an Acre, 10s. 6d.

Lots may be seen; or of the Auctioneer.

CONDITIONS of SALE.

- The highest Bidders to be the Purchasers.
- No advance shall be less than 2£. at each Bidding.
- The respective Purchasers to pay immediately into the hands of the Commissioners a Deposit of 10£. per Cent. in
part of the Purchase-money, and sign an agreement to pay the remainder on or before the 7th day of November next.
- The Duty payable to Government to be borne equally between the Vendors and Purchasers.
- That if any Purchaser should neglect or fail to comply with these Conditions, the Deposit-money to be forfeited
and the Commissioners shall be at liberty to re-sell the Lot or Lots, and the deficiency, if any, on such resale, with all
attendant charges, to be made good by the Defaulter or Defaulters at this Sale.
Lastly,-The Purchasers of the several Lots are to make, raise, and complete, at their own expense, but according to
the directions of the said Commissioners, the several Fences to their respective Allotments next mentioned,-that is to say,-
Lot 1.-The North and East sides thereof.
Lot 2.-The South and South-east sides thereof.
Lot 3.-The North-east and West sides thereof.
Lot 4.-The South-east and South-west sides thereof.
Lot 5.-The North-west and South-west sides thereof.
Lot 6.-The North-west and South-west sides thereof.
Lot 7.-The South-east and South-west sides thereof.
Lot 8.-The South-west and South-east sides thereof.
Lot 9.-The North-west and South-west sides thereof.
